About BEAM
BEAM, or Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry, is here to help families in the Beaches communities from Mayport/Atlantic Beach to Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach, and Ponte Vedra in these zip codes: 32233, 32224, 32266, 32250, and 32082.

BEAM’s mission is to keep families in their homes and help them become self-sufficient. Sometimes families just need groceries to help them get through the month. Sometimes they need help paying a power bill or making a rent payment.

No family needs to go without food at the Beaches! BEAM’S food pantry is open for appointments at BEAM Monday through Friday each week. Families can come for food every 30 days if they need to do so, and they can also apply for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly “food stamps”) at BEAM.

Qualified families may be eligible for rent or utility assistance at BEAM. BEAM’s Rent and Utility program is funded by generous gifts from individuals, private family foundations, churches, businesses, a Public Service Grant from the City of Jacksonville, and Housing and Urban Development’s program through the City of Jacksonville. BEAM administers the charitable fund and federal grant monies for Beaches Energy Service, which is the source for electricity in Ponte Vedra, Jacksonville Beach, and Neptune Beach.

BEAM also offers free tax preparation services during tax season with specially trained volunteers, through a partnership with United Way’s REAL$ense Prosperity Campaign.
