BEAM Offers additional help for families seasonally, as follows:
CORE SERVICES
BEAM is a partner with the Department of Children and Families to help families apply for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or “food stamps”) and Medicaid. No appointment is necessary for this service.
Beaches Energy Service (BES) partners with BEAM so that BEAM can administer assistance to qualified BES customers who need help with their BES bill. BEAM administers all the funds available through BES’s “CARE” program. No appointment is necessary for this service.
BEAM’s partnership with United Way’s REAL$ense Prosperity Campaign enables trained BEAM volunteers to offer free income tax preparation to families during tax season. Appointments are available for Friday afternoons and Saturdays beginning late January of each year and continuing through mid-April.
BEAM’s food pantry serves residents of the above zip codes. Families are asked to schedule appointments for food pick-up and can come once every 30 days if they need food.
BEAM offers financial assistance for rent and utilities for qualified residents of the above zip codes. This service is available every 18 months, and an appointment is required.

Thanksgiving dinner baskets are donated to BEAM and provided to families who sign up for food to prepare a bountiful Thanksgiving dinner.
BACK TO SCHOOL WITH BEAM helps Beaches families get their children ready for school with new backpacks, school supplies, underwear, socks, shoe vouchers, gently used clothing, haircuts, books, dental check-ups, cleanings, and fillings, and more.
Santa’s Workshop provides an opportunity for families to sign up for toys for their children ages infant to 15 and gifts are provided by generous Beaches neighbors.
