Shoppers came out in great numbers to help celebrate our 1st Anniversary Tent Event at the 7North location and enjoyed all the beautiful weather, hot dogs and great deals. Thank you for making 2016 a great year for BEAM Thrift!

HURRICANE MATTHEW

Hurricane Matthew was a headline in our area recently.  Once the storm trackers put the First Coast in its path, our shoppers were all looking for air mattresses, camping supplies, flashlights and anything they could easily find for their emergency kits.

As luck would have it, we had just received a generous donation of camping equipment from a family in Atlantic Beach that was relocating to New York City.  We were able to quickly get it in our Shetter Avenue store, where all of our camping equipment is sold.

A few hours after the storm passed, we were able to help a family whose home was seriously damaged by a fallen tree. Not only were we able to provide them with necessities for a reasonable price, we were able to give them a sense of hope in this difficult time.

Thank you to all our donors! Something you may no longer need, may be just what someone else needs.

NEW BEAM THRIFT LOCATION

It’s an exciting time at BEAM as we now have completed the another BEAM Thrift Store. Our new BEAM Thrift store location is at 3rd Avenue North and A1A in the 7north complex (the old Jax Beach Post Office). The store is certain to be a huge hit as we triple our retail space and are able to showcase more of the generous donations we receive from the Beaches community!!!

At this new location, you can count on better parking and a more convenient donation drop-off. We will open this location with new inventory and will begin accepting donations at 7 north in early November (we will continue to welcome donations at Shetter Ave. until then). Please think of us as you are redecorating or cleaning out your closets. Furniture is always a big item for us and we’ll be more than happy to come pick it up!!! Please call us at (904) 853-6246 to arrange a pick-up.

As we prepare to open the new, larger BEAM Thrift store, we are looking to expand our volunteer base. Come join our wonderful group of thrift volunteers!! More assistance on the sales floor and cashiers are needed. Please call Jenny at (904) 853-6246, if you are interested in being a part of this exciting new venture!

We’ve spent lots of hours preparing for a spectacular Fall/Winter season. The coats, sweaters, boots, hats, gloves, and scarves will be out soon at both the Shetter Ave andMayport Road locations. Along with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas décor items, we will be featuring crafts, toys and linens on special sale days. Be sure to follow us on FACEBOOK, as that is where we announce all of our sales.
